Welcome to the Home Page of the
Committee on the Status Of Women in the Economics Profession
CSWEP, an arm of the
American Economic Association, publishes a thrice-yearly newsletter containing
information that will keep you up-to-date about what is happening in our
profession.CSWEP is present at the annual meetings of the AEA and the
regional economics associations. Its associates arrange technical sessions for
these meetings and work to ensure that women economists are adequately
represented on the program.
The Committee also hosts social events where women economists can meet and
exchange information. CSWEP represents women's points of view in the committee
work of the American Economic Association, monitors the progress of women
within the profession, and makes an annual report to the AEA on the status of
women in economics.
