She has written a number of papers on incorporating this technique in various economics classes, an example was recently published in the Journal of Economic Education. She is currently co-editing a book called Valuing Us All: Feminist Pedagogy in Economics that addresses the need to change both course content and teaching methods to develop a more inclusive classroom environment. Her research on compensating wage differentials in addition to these pedagogical issues earned her the Outstanding Research Award at the Robins School of Business in 1997.
