Debra Barbezat is Professor of Economics at Colby College. Professor Barbezat received her undergraduate degree in economics from Smith College (1979) and her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan. Her published work has appeared in the AER, JHR, Industrial & Labor Relations Review, Research in Labor Economics, Journal of Economic Education, Research in Higher Education, Contemporary Economic Policy, and Economics Letters. In addition to core courses, Professor Barbezat teaches labor economics, health economics, and the economics of gender. She has held key service positions at Colby including Social Science Division Chair.
