CSWEP Board Member - Fiona Scott Morton
Fiona M. Scott Morton is a Professor of Economics and Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the Yale School of Management. She is also a Research Associate in the IO Program at the NBER. After a B.A. from Yale College and a PhD from MIT, both in Economics, she taught at Stanford GSB (1994-1997) and Chicago GSB (1997-1999). Her expertise and research area is the study of firms, markets, and competition. She has worked on a variety of industries such as merchant shipping, wineries, funeral homes, ecommerce, auto retailing, magazines, and a number of areas in the pharmaceutical industry including competition, generic entry, and procurement of pharmaceuticals for Medicaid and Medicare. She has served in a editing capacity for several journals including the Journal of Industrial Economics, The International Journal of Industrial Organization, BE Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, and The Review of Industrial Organization. In 2005-06 she enjoyed a sabbatical as the Adam Smith Visiting Fellow at the University of Edinburgh Economics Department.
